Itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala/ Entebbe international Airport to
Lake Bunyonyi, you will be met by our company representative,
brief you about this 3 days Uganda wild adventure as you start the
journey to Lake Bunyonyi situated in south western part of Uganda
in Kabale district. Along the drive, you will first have a
stopover at the Equator where you will stand between the North and
South Pole for beautiful photographs and Equator experience. After
spending a few minutes at the Equator, proceed with the journey
direct to Mbarara city where you will enjoy your enroute lunch.
Upon completing lunch, proceed with the drive via flat farms
viewing Ankole cattle and proceed through the rolling hill of
Kigezi up to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale where you will arrive in
evening. Head to your reserved lodge where you will check in for
dinner and have an overnight sleep.
Day 2: Full day excursion on Lake Bunyonyi. On day 2 of 3 days
Lake Bunyonyi Tour, have your breakfast and head out for a full
day adventure on Lake Bunyonyi starting with a community tour
where you will meet the Bakiga and Batwa that reside near the
shores of Lake Bunyonyi. You will be able to spend some time with
them interacting about their life styles. This is yet the best day
to enjoy birding as well as walking adventure. After spending a
half day, return to your lodge for lunch after which you will
spend your afternoon on a canoe ride exploring different islands
since the lake has 29 islands. There is yet an option of swimming
only done by experienced swimmers since the lake is very deep. You
may also enjoy Zip lining on top of the deepest lake which is yet
a fascinating activity. Return to your lodge later in the evening
for dinner and overnight sleep.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala/ Entebbe International Airport for
departures.
Inclusions
Transport in a 4wd mini bus with pop-up roof for excellent game
viewing (or upgrade, see 'Transport').
All fuel for the tour
English speaking Ugandan driver/guide.
