3 DAYS KARAMAJONG COMMUNITY AND SIPI FALLS

Itinerary

Day 1: Overnight in Kampala

After the goodbye to the rest of the group, you will be transfered to your hotel in Kampala for a good night of sleep.

Day 2: Kampala - Karamajong - sipi

Today, we depart very early (6:30) to drive from Kampala PianUpe game reserve, stopping for an early lunch in Mbale . Not many people know that Uganda is hosting traditional tribes. In the South -East of Uganda you can visit the PianUpe Game reserve where you can find the Karamajong living in a beatifull setting of savanne with dramatic mountains on the background. The Karamajong live in traditional boma's together with their cattle. The Karamajong is related to Maasai in Kenya and dresses simular. In this save area, you can visit 2 boma's where people still live in their traditional way. The landscape around the boma's will for sure add to a great experience. After this visit you have an other 2, 5 hours drive to Sipi Falls where you will stay at a nice middle class lodge with a great view on the biggest fall in the area (100 meters)

Day 3: Full day in Sipi Falls

On the foot of Mount Elgon you can find Sipi Falls; A paradise full of flowers, birds, waterfalls and creeks. At least 3 waterfalls can be visited in a full day hike. Walking in this area must feel like being Adam or Eve, so make sure you don't eat from the wrong apple and Prepare yourself for a beautiful full day in paradise! After breakfast, choose to go on a -3 hour or (for the real adventurers) - 7 hour hike through the region. Whichever you choose, you can be certain that you will pass more picturesque waterfalls, plantations and caves. Local villagers will be sure to greet you with 'Jambo!' and beaming smiles. If you're feeling brave, one of the waterfalls is even perfect for that early morning shower... When you come back anice cup of warm Mount Elgon Coffee is waiting for you!

Day 4: Murchison Falls - Entebbe airport

In the morning you can go for a second hike or - when you are very adventrous - make an abseil along the 100 meter high waterfall!!! After an early lunch (around 11 am)you depart to Entebbe. You can have dinner at one of the nice restaurants in town (not included) before your driver/ guide drops you at the airport.
