About This Journey
With over 1,050 recorded species in one country, Uganda is East Africa's single richest birding destination — and this seventeen-day circuit is built to prove it. From the forest specials of Budongo and Semuliki to the wetland spectacle of the Kazinga Channel and Mabamba Swamp's shoebills, this trip strings together Uganda's best birding sites into one continuous journey.
It's not birding alone, though — Kibale's chimpanzee tracking and a morning with a habituated mountain gorilla family in Bwindi are woven into the route, along with game drives in Murchison Falls and Queen Elizabeth National Parks. Whether you're chasing a life list or simply want the fullest possible picture of Uganda's wildlife, this itinerary delivers both quantity and quality.
A specialist birding guide joins your driver-guide at the key sites, and every departure is private — paced around you rather than a fixed group.
