About This Journey
For travellers who want the best of Uganda without the long road transfers, this nine-day safari links Murchison Falls, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest entirely by scheduled light aircraft, touching down on remote airstrips in or beside each park.
The result is more time on the ground and less time on the road: full days of game viewing and gorilla trekking, with a relaxed buffer day back in Entebbe before your international flight rather than a late-night rush to the airport.
Because baggage space on light aircraft is limited, soft-sided bags and a strict weight allowance apply on the domestic flights — we'll send full packing guidance ahead of departure. Every leg is private, guided on the ground at each stop by an expert local driver-guide.
Trip Highlights
- Scenic light-aircraft flights over the Rift Valley in place of long road transfers between parks
- Game drives and a Nile boat cruise in Murchison Falls National Park
- Game drives and a Kazinga Channel boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park, based at Mweya Safari Lodge
- One unforgettable hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
- A relaxed buffer day in Entebbe before your international departure
- More time on the ground and less time on the road — ideal for travellers short on time

The next morning, an early game drive along the northern bank of the Nile brings chances of giraffe, elephant, lion, hartebeest, and a wealth of birdlife, followed by an afternoon boat cruise on the Nile for close-quarters game viewing.

The highlight of your safari: gorilla tracking with the giants of Bwindi. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas — but it's worthwhile the moment you're watching them eat, play, and rest at close range.
